Album Info:This was a branch line of the Reading Railroad. It split off the Reading's mainline between Center City Philadelphia and Bethlehem at Newtown Junction, between Logan and Tabor. Approximately 20 miles long, it was only electrified the first five miles to Fox Chase. The line from Fox Chase to Newtown utilized RDC's. Maintenance on the RDC's and low ridership caused service between Fox Chase and Newtown to cease in January 1983.
